Recently, several of articles have been circulated in the media and on social networks regarding the use of the Company’s chilled meat products after a storage period exceeding one month. With a commitment to transparency and responsibility, we would like to provide clarifications on proper storage methods to ensure consumer rights and health.

Japfa Group is a leading Asian enterprise in animal feed production, breeding, and livestock farming. After 30 years of operation in Vietnam, Japfa has developed a system of more than 1,500 farms, along with eight animal feed manufacturing plants and modern slaughtering facilities, ensuring the supply of safe food from farm to table. In response to the growing demand for safe food, Japfa Vietnam has developed the Japfa Best fresh meat brand, supplying pork and chicken products that are strictly controlled throughout the entire process, from farming and slaughtering to distribution.

Japfa Best products are strictly managed in terms of shelf life and storage conditions to ensure freshness and food safety. Specifically, chilled meat products have a shelf life of three (03) days from the production date when stored at temperatures between 0°C and 4°C, while frozen meat products have a shelf life of up to 12 months when stored at -18°C. Under household storage conditions, chilled products may be frozen for later use. However, this is not a recommended practice, as chilled products are designed to be consumed fresh to ensure optimal quality.

All Japfa Best products are slaughtered at facilities that meet stringent quality management and food safety standards such as GMP, HACCP or ISO 22000. The closed production process enables strict quality control from raw materials to finished products.
