Japfa is an exemplary Indonesian business in Vietnam
On January 13th in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Indonesian President Joko Widodo held a dialogue with representatives of 12 leading businesses of both countries. With the advantages and directions towards sustainable agricultural development, the Prime Minister expressed the desire for Indonesia to increase investment in its strong economic sectors while also supporting Vietnam in participating in regional and global supply chains.
As one of the exemplary corporations, the former General Director of Japfa Vietnam, Mr. Arif Widjaja, represented the company in the discussion. Currently, Japfa Vietnam focuses on developing livestock farming through integrated chains, optimizing resources towards the goal of agricultural production, and applying high technology. The company is currently operating 8 modern feed mills, over 1,400 farms, and a network of 20 food retail stores under the brand name Japfa Best.
On January 12th, representatives of the Board of Directors of Japfa Vietnam had a working session with Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien to update the company's operational situation. During the meeting, the Deputy Minister highly appreciated Japfa's contributions to providing quality livestock feed to the market. With a focus on high-tech agricultural production, the company's representatives pledged to make efforts to integrate and develop the Vietnamese livestock industry in a safe and sustainable direction.
